Attitudes are contagious
Remember, attitude is everything – I mean everything!
It equals 100% in algebra terms you know!
Seriously, do the maths yourself – if A = 1 and B = 2 and C = 3 etc etc up to Z = 26 , then hey presto attitude adds up to 100%. Even hard work isn’t enough – that only adds up to 98%
And as we know too, attitudes are totally contagious, so please make sure yours is worth catching today!
Behaviour breeds behaviour and no one wants to be around a “misgog” – especially at this time, so let your SMILE….travel MILES, down the phone or across the way and see just how infectious you become – in a really good way obviously!
Practice some of those quick fixes or attitude boosters for getting back on track if you do feel a little out of kilter today or your mood is being impacted by what’s going on right now…
Here are a few of our favourites…
Stand up & have a good old stretch – there’s a physiological shift when you do this and…
BREATHE – 3 deep breaths in through your nose, relaxing your tummy muscles and then out through your mouth, contracting your tummy muscles in – do 3 sets of 3 breaths and notice how much calmer you feel inside!
Get a blast of fresh air &/or some natural daylight – even if it’s just a walk around the garden or down to the end of the path and back – feel good endorphins are released when you experience natural light and fresh air and sunshine, so ensure you indulge in some of those positive pick-me-ups today!
Hydrate – as I’m sure you’re aware we are 80% water and when we’re stressed or anxious, we dehydrate more easily, so ensure you’re drinking plenty of (healthy) liquid today!
Remember too that a piece of good quality chocolate or a piece of fresh fruit are good for your mood too AND…
Creating a new routine for your working day is a great way to stay positive and on track right now too – the 3 x 3 approach works brilliantly for me and hope it will for you too…
Before you start your day (or before you end the previous day) because as we know…
Today ‘aint over until tomorrow is planned…
So write down 3 things (just 3) that you absolutely MUST get done today
Then write down 3 things that you’d LIKE to get done today
Then write down 3 things that would be GOOD to get done, if not today than at some point
Carry the 2nd or 3rd lot of 3’s over if you need to , but notice how much easier it is to stick to your to-do list and get it done and dusted when you just focus on that magical number 3!
Until next time, stay safe, stay sane and keep FIT!
