Creating a unique selling point for your business can be a tough challenge – unless of course you’re Richard Branson! After all, it is the force that drives your business.
A great USP will radically improve the positioning and marketability of your company. It will set you apart from competition, persuade others to use your service and act as an offer for acceptance…
If you want to stand out from the crowd and differentiate yourself in the marketplace, the worst thing you can do is copy someone else. If you haven’t heard of a boy called Aron Dale, then it’s about time you did.
Because I assure you, he definitely didn’t get the memo about creating those USPs……
Aron, from Middlesbrough, recently quit university to take up a career as a Harry Styles lookalike (he’s the curly haired kid from One Direction in case you’re as old as I am or don’t have teenage girls living under your roof!). The only trouble is, I don’t think anyone’s told Aron that he doesn’t look anything remotely like Harry!
Mr Dale is without a doubt, the worst Harry Styles impersonator I’ve ever seen. And with only 6 bookings a year, I’ll take a sure guess I’m not the only one who thinks this…
He claims he can’t go anywhere without being attacked by fans. According to the 24-year-old he is the ‘‘leading Harry lookalike in the UK’’ although he appears to be the ONLY person claiming this to be true! Quite hilarious don’t you think?
If you’re struggling to find the moral behind this story – here it is: find your own USP!
Don’t copy someone else’s, because your customers want the real deal, not some second-rate imitator. You and I both know you’re definitely no Harry Styles imitator, so craft those USPs that will separate you from your competition…you know them – those awful mimics like Aron!
I know you’re dying to see what Mr Dale aka Harry Styles looks like, so here’s the link…..
Have a great week – and keep FIT!
