Imagine if you could make your product more popular simply by adding something that hardly cost you anything and didn’t actually make the product any better?
Now stop imagining – and start thinking. Because you can do it. And a man called Yao Yan has the holes in hands proof that it IS possible. Here’s the story to prove it…..
Yao Yan is a fruit seller from Eastern China and in the weeks leading up to Chinese Valentine’s Day, which falls on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month, the entrepreneur came up with a novel way to sell more fruit.
After spotting a visual similarity between peaches and a woman’s derriere, he decided to start dressing his peaches in miniature underwear. The result? Demand for his peaches skyrocketed!
To see the pretty peaches, head over to the original story here –

The product hadn’t changed.
However, the way the product was packaged had – and that made all the difference.
It reminded me of those great little hats that Innocent put on their smoothies a couple of years ago – remember them?
As with so many other things, there’s a lesson for all of us here……there will always be an inventive way to create more interest in our products and services.
We might not have found it yet – and it IS there! It’s our job to find it – think outside the brown paper bag our peaches are put into as a good place to start and good luck finding your version of a derriere this week!
Have a great week – and keep FIT!
